| Profile: | Born on 12.03.1978 in Lodz. She is a culture animator by profession. Graduated from the School of Design and Advertising at the Acting Department in Lodz. She is currently a student of the 2nd year at the Acting College run by Mr and Mrs Machulski in Warsaw. Dancer.
She had discovered her love to dance yet in primary school. As a third grader she had become a member of the children group "Krajki" where she danced for 7 years. At that time for the first time she pitted herself against singing. She recorded two songs: one in Polish and the other one in German.
But dance however won. After "Krajki" there was a time for a group of sport dance "7 coma 7". Representing the team colors she won Polish Solist Championship in Hip-Hop dance. After "7 coma 7" she worked at "Imago" group. Soon later she met Michal Wisniewski and started her cooperation with Ich Troje group as an independent choreographer. Although working on permanent basis with Ich Troje group since the beginning she found her time for performing with Pawe³ Stasiak and Jacek FK. In the meantime she was perfecting her skills at stuntman school and during acrobatics classes.
Soon after the success of Ich Troje in 2000 she started organizing her own dance group. Her attempts resulted with "Mandaryna Dance Studio" in 2003. First she expanded the group dancing with Ich Troje. Later she decided to arrange a casting and to employ a dozen or so quite new members to the group and to involve them into projects other than Ich Troje. In both editions of "Jestem Jaki Jestem" show she was responsible for choreography not only to songs performed by Micha³ Wiœniewski or Ich Troje group but also to performances of other artist, like: In-Grid, Groove Coverage, Vanilla Ninja, Natasha St Pier, Milk Inc.
She also decided to remind herself her adventure with singing from youth. She recorded "for pleasure and as a gift for her husband" two songs: "Stand by Your Man" and "Sliczny obcy pan" ("Beautiful Stranger") that she sung in the show. At that time the idea of doing something towards singing came into existance. Last winter the idea took shape and she started to look for material in order to record an album. She also started to learn in this field under the supervision of professionals. She worked with Marek Sosnicki (Tamerlane), Aleksander Katajew, Liroy. The latter undertook production of maxi single attached to "NAJ" magazine, issued in May 2004. Songs "Jestes ale ciê nie ma" written by Adam Wardin and Marta Mars, "Ide przez deszcz" written by Andre Franke (an author of "Keine Grenzen" sung by Ich Troje group) and the dance cover of Matthias Reim's "Summertime" were created specially for Mandaryna. The songs were recorded and produced by one of the best Polish producers - Adam Toczko. It resulted in almost 200 thousand sale of the maxi single and thunderous applause of audience during concerts. Approximately at the same time megastar of dance music - Groove Coverage performed in "Jestem Jaki Jestem" Show. They met and become friends. Groove Coverage offered its cooperation in recording. This is how "Here I Go Again" and then the whole disc "mandaryna.com" came into being.
Between preparing choreography for next artists, supervision over Ich Troje show and recording own album Mandaryna had played not easy part of drug addicted Kasia in "Na Wspolnej" series for TVN television. It is not her acting debut but the first such important part. Yet as a student Mandaryna had been taking part in feature films: "Dlug" and "Cisza". For 2 years she was participating in the "Ochroniarz" show recordings for TVP1; she recorded titles for "Milosc od pierwszego wejrzenia"; participated in shoots for promos for Nescafe directed by Andrzej Chyra, took part in study movies directed by Tomek Konecki and screened by TVN this spring.
